Winter and summer packages

Winter (October to April). Northern Lights every clear night, ice caves inside the glaciers, glacier hikes and snowy waterfalls. Days are short, so winter routes have fewer long drives and build in time for the weather. See our Northern Lights tours and all Iceland winter tours.

Summer (May to September). Midnight sun, the highlands, puffins and whale watching, and the full Ring Road. Summer is the busiest season, so book early. See all summer Ring Road tours.

What is included in an Iceland travel package?

Hotels for every night, the listed tours and activities, and transport between stops. Flights, most meals and insurance are usually not included; each trip page lists exactly what is included.

How much does an Iceland vacation package cost?

Our packages start from about 69,990 ISK per person. The price depends on the length, the season, the hotels and whether the trip is guided, private or self-drive.

How many days do I need in Iceland?

5 to 7 days is enough for the Golden Circle, the South Coast and the glacier lagoon. For the whole Ring Road, plan 7 to 9 days.

What is the best month for an Iceland package?

For the Northern Lights and ice caves, October to March. For the midnight sun, the highlands and the full Ring Road, June to August. May and September are quieter with good weather chances.

Is a guided tour or self-drive better?

A guided tour means no winter driving, a local guide and an easy trip. Self-drive gives more freedom and can cost less, especially in summer.

Can I customise a package?

Yes. We can add nights, swap activities or move the dates. Ask a local and we reply within 24 hours.

Do Iceland packages include flights?

No. Our packages start when you arrive in Iceland, so you can book the flights that suit you.

Are there all-inclusive packages in Iceland?

Our packages include hotels, tours and transport. Most meals are not included, so you can try local restaurants along the way. Private packages can include more on request.

How far ahead should I book?

For summer, book 3 to 6 months ahead. For winter, a few weeks to a couple of months ahead is usually fine, but Christmas, New Year and Easter fill up early.

Are the packages suitable for families with children?

Yes, several packages have no minimum age. See the family vacation package or ask a local.
