About the 4 day Iceland tour

This 4 day tour covers the two most popular parts of Iceland, the Golden Circle and the South Coast, then finishes with a day in the Landmannalaugar highlands that most South Coast tours never reach. You travel by small-group minibus with a local guide, who drives, plans around the weather, and handles the ice cave and hiking safety gear.

The first three days move along the Ring Road: the Golden Circle sights, then Jökulsárlón and Diamond Beach, Skaftafell with a hike to Svartifoss, Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon, a Katla ice cave, and the black sand beach at Reynisfjara. The final day heads inland to Landmannalaugar for a hike of around 8–10 km through the rhyolite mountains, finished off with a soak in the natural hot spring.

Days involve 4–5 hours of driving with many stops, and walks are generally short except for the Landmannalaugar hike and the glacier or ice cave activity, which is why the tour is rated moderate rather than easy. It runs in summer, when the highland road to Landmannalaugar is open.

You stay three nights in country hotels and guesthouses with private bathrooms, with breakfast included; lunch and dinner are on your own along the way.

Highly recommend - Landmannalaugar day was amazing

This tour was exceptional! Really really loved every day of it but Landmannalaugar was my favorite day. The nature there is simply stunning and the hike and hot spring was my favorite part of our trip to Europe this summer.

Best Trip

This was by far one of our best holiday vacations. I value having a small group experience and knowledgeable, friendly guides and I got all of this on this 4 day tour. Each day was different and the sightings were magnificent. Landmannalaugar was my favorite and one of the most unique places I have visited. Recommend this tour and hopefully you will also get Jon as your tour guide.
