Booking and payment

Prices

Prices are shown in Icelandic króna (ISK) and include VAT. Prices shown in other currencies are for information only. We may correct obvious pricing errors before a booking is confirmed.

Changes and cancellations

Changes and cancellations follow our cancellation policy, or the operator’s terms for tours run by our partners.

Tours run by our partners

Many tours on our website are run by licensed local operators. They are responsible for running the tour, and their own terms, safety rules and age limits apply. These are shown on the tour page and in the booking calendar.

Travel packages

When you book a package that combines transport, accommodation and tours, you are protected by the Icelandic Act on Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements (no. 95/2018). We will give you the required information before you book.

Your responsibilities

Weather and safety

Weather in Iceland changes fast. Operators may change the route or cancel a tour for safety. If a tour is cancelled, you can rebook or get a full refund. We are not responsible for other costs caused by a cancellation, such as hotels or flights.

Liability

We are responsible for providing the services you booked as described. We are not liable for loss or damage caused by your own actions, by events outside our control (such as extreme weather, natural events or road closures), or for personal belongings.

Complaints

If something goes wrong, tell the guide or us straight away so we can try to fix it. Written complaints can be sent to info@icelandtravelguide.is as soon as possible and no later than 30 days after the trip.

Law

These terms are governed by Icelandic law.
