About the 7 day Iceland tour

Seven days gives you the full loop of Iceland plus the Snæfellsnes peninsula without driving yourself. A local guide drives the minibus, handles the roads and weather, and stops at the waterfalls, beaches, lava fields and villages along the way. You sleep in a different country hotel most nights.

On average you spend 4–5 hours a day in the minibus and cover about 300 km, with plenty of short stops. This is the Adventure package, so two activities are included: a glacier hike with crampons (April to October) or a natural ice cave (October to April) on day two, and a whale watching trip in Eyjafjörður on day five.

In summer the days are long and the whole route is open. In winter daylight is short, roads can be icy and the guide may change stops; Stuðlagil canyon is often closed then. From September to April you have a chance of seeing the northern lights on clear nights in the countryside, and most hotels will wake you if they appear.

Exceeded all expectations

Before booking, we thought a 7-day group tour might feel too packed, but it turned out to be the ideal way to experience Iceland. The itinerary was perfectly balanced between must-see highlights and hidden gems. Our guide was excellent. He was always attentive to the group’s needs, super friendly, and a true expert on Iceland. He managed to keep us on schedule while still allowing flexibility for photo stops and extra viewpoints. We never once felt rushed. Every hotel was comfortable. I cannot imagine a better introduction to Iceland.

Wonderful experience with a guide who truly cared

We traveled as a family of four, and this tour was everything we wished for on our trip to Iceland. The guide immediately made everyone feel comfortable and welcome. He was full of stories about Icelandic life and culture, and he went out of his way to answer all our questions. We especially appreciated his sense of humor, which kept everyone smiling even on long driving days. The sights themselves were spectacular. The Golden Circle, South Coast, East Fjords, North Iceland, and Snaefellsnes Peninsula all in one journey! By the end of the week, it felt like we were traveling with a good friend. I would definitely recommend this tour to families.

The perfect way to see all of Iceland in one week

This 7-day tour was everything we hoped for and more. Our guide was not only extremely knowledgeable about Iceland’s history, geology, and folklore, but also incredibly friendly and approachable. Every day was packed with highlights like waterfalls, glaciers, hot springs, and tiny coastal towns, yet it never felt rushed. The pacing was excellent, and we always had time to enjoy the scenery and take photos. Traveling around the whole island with someone so enthusiastic and well-organized made the trip completely stress-free. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the best of Iceland in one unforgettable week!

Perfect Family Adventure with Iceland Travel Guide

Our family’s 7-day Ring Road tour with Iceland Travel Guide was absolutely incredible! From the moment we first reached out, the communication was fantastic—they helped us plan everything perfectly, even with a group as big as ours. Our guide was not only knowledgeable but also patient and made every day an exciting adventure for both the kids and us. He knew all the best places to stop, and his stories made the landscapes come alive. The hotels we stayed at were all comfortable and well-located, giving us the chance to rest after days packed with sightseeing and activities. The kids loved the glacier hike and whale watching, while my favorite part was the breathtaking scenery along the way, especially the waterfalls and black sand beaches. Every stop felt like something out of a dream! This trip truly exceeded our expectations in every way. I can't recommend Iceland Travel Guide enough for a family-friendly adventure that was as fun as it was well-organized. We made memories that will last a lifetime!
