2. Plan your time in Þórsmörk

A day trip gives you a few hours for walks around the valley; stay overnight in a hut or campsite for longer hikes.
Þórsmörk is the end of the Laugavegur trail and the start of the Fimmvörðuháls hike over to Skógar.
Bring food, water, warm layers and rain gear. Services in the valley are basic.
