Sky Lagoon was the perfect way to unwind! The infinity pool and the 7-step ritual were so relaxing. Did this on my birthday and had the best time!
Definitely a must-do while in Reykjavik!

The Sky Lagoon Saman Pass gets you into the geothermal lagoon on the Kársnes coast, just outside Reykjavík, with the seven-step Skjól ritual, a towel and use of the public changing rooms.
Sky Lagoon is a geothermal lagoon on the Kársnes peninsula in Kópavogur, a short drive from central Reykjavík. The lagoon looks out over the ocean, and on clear evenings you can see Bessastaðir and, in winter, sometimes the Northern Lights.
The Saman Pass is the standard ticket. It includes entry to the lagoon, the Skjól ritual and a towel, and you use the shared changing rooms with showers. If you would rather have a private changing room with extra amenities, choose the Sér Pass instead.
The Skjól ritual is a seven-step routine that follows old Icelandic bathing traditions: you start in the lagoon, then take a cold plunge, sit in the sauna with its ocean view, stand in a cold fog-mist, apply the Sky body scrub, warm up in the steam room and finish with a shower. Most guests spend about two hours in total.
Unlike the Blue Lagoon, Sky Lagoon is close to the city, so it is easy to fit into an evening. Transport is not included in this ticket. You can take a taxi or city bus, drive yourself (there is parking on site), or book the Sky Lagoon ticket with transfers.
Both include the lagoon, the Skjól ritual and a towel. The Saman Pass uses public changing rooms; the Sér Pass gives you a private changing room with extra amenities.
It is about 15 minutes' drive from downtown Reykjavík. You can drive (there is parking), take a taxi or bus, or book our Sky Lagoon ticket with transfers.
The minimum age is 12, and children aged 12–14 must be with an adult.
Sky Lagoon is closer to the city and has the ritual with an ocean view. The Blue Lagoon is near the airport and famous for its milky blue water and silica mud. Many travellers choose Sky Lagoon for an evening in Reykjavík and the Blue Lagoon on the way to or from the airport.
On clear, dark winter evenings it is possible, as the lagoon faces the ocean away from most city lights. It is never guaranteed.
