About the Reykjavík helicopter tour

This is one of the shorter helicopter tours on offer around Reykjavík: a flight of 15–20 minutes over the city and its coastline, followed by a landing on a nearby mountain top where you get out and take in the view before flying back. The whole outing, from meeting your pilot to walking off the helicopter again, takes about 40–45 minutes.

From the air you see the layout of Reykjavík, the harbour, nearby islands and the hills and low mountains around the capital area. The landing spot gives a different view again, standing on a summit looking back over the city and coastline.

It runs all year, but as with all helicopter flights in Iceland, it depends on the weather: the operator may adjust the route or reschedule if conditions on the day don't allow a safe flight or landing.
