About the Kerlingarfjöll small-group jeep and hiking tour

Kerlingarfjöll is a mountain range in the middle of the Icelandic highlands, between the Langjökull and Hofsjökull glaciers. Its slopes are bright orange, red and yellow rhyolite, often streaked with snow, and in the valley of Hveradalir the ground steams and boils with hot springs and mud pools.

The highlands can only be reached in summer, when the mountain roads open. You travel north on the Kjölur road (F35) in a Super Jeep, across lava fields and glacial rivers, so getting there is part of the experience.

In Hveradalir you walk on marked trails with boardwalks and steps between the hot springs. Afterwards you can soak in the Highland Baths at Kerlingarfjöll, a geothermal pool in the mountains. Entry is not included and can be added when you book.
