The Mega Zipline conventional ride sends you seated along a 1 km line above the Reykjadalur valley near Hveragerði, at a controlled pace so you can enjoy the view on the way down.
Mega Zipline sits above Hveragerði, overlooking the Reykjadalur valley, known for its hot river and geothermal steam. This is the Conventional Ride, known locally as "Free as a Bird": you sit in a custom harness and travel the 1 km line at a controlled pace, rather than the headfirst Superman-style ride.
The full visit, from checking in to checking out, takes about 45 to 60 minutes, most of it spent getting kitted out and briefed before the ride itself. Two lines run side by side, so you can go with a friend or family member at the same time.
This is a meet-on-location activity in Hveragerði, about 45 minutes from Reykjavík by car, with no pick-up included. If you are staying in Reykjavík without a car, our Mega Zip Line Tour from Reykjavík includes the transfer.
