PRIVATEPrivate South Coast Tour with Reykjaböð Hot SpringsFrom 177,800 ISK per groupReykjaböð Hot Springs is in Hveragerði, the geothermal town at the foot of the Reykjadalur valley. It is about 35 minutes by car from Reykjavík and close to the Ring Road, so it fits easily into a South Coast or Golden Circle day, or after the hike to the hot river in Reykjadalur.
The lagoon covers about 900 square metres and is kept at 38–40°C all year, with different depths and gentle slopes into the water. Next to it is the outdoor ritual area with a sauna, cold plunge pools and a Kneipp pool, where you walk through warm and cold water in turn. There is a bar in the water and a bistro on site.
The Bathhouse Spa is a separate, quieter part for adults, open to guests with the Signature admission. It has a steam bath, a dry sauna, an Arctic snow room, a herbal pool, a floating pool, a cold plunge and experience showers.
You book a timed entry slot. In winter the daylight is short, so an afternoon or evening slot after a day of sightseeing works well, and the water is the same temperature whatever the weather.
Classic covers the geothermal lagoon and the outdoor ritual area with sauna, cold plunge and Kneipp pool, for about two hours. Signature adds the adults-only Bathhouse Spa, a bathrobe and slippers, and a drink at the in-water bar, for about three hours.
