About the GeoSea geothermal sea baths

GeoSea sits on the cliffs at the edge of Húsavík in North Iceland, and its pools are filled with geothermal seawater rather than fresh water, pumped up from boreholes near the town. The infinity-edge design means you look straight out over Skjálfandi Bay while you soak, with the same water that whale watching boats sail over.

This is an entry ticket rather than a guided tour, so you go at your own pace: change, shower, and move between the pools and the swim-up bar as you like. Húsavík is one of Iceland's best whale watching towns, so this is a natural stop to combine with a boat trip, especially to warm up afterwards.

Children under 5 go free and ages 6–16 pay a reduced rate. If you forget your own swimsuit or towel, both can be rented on site, along with bathrobes. Like any outdoor bathing spot in Iceland, it is worth checking opening hours in advance, especially outside summer.

Must in North Iceland

GeoSea was the ultimate relaxation spot. Soaking in the warm sea water with ocean views was incredible. A must-do in North Iceland!

Very Refreshing!

The Geo Sea in North Iceland Húsavík was one of the top experiences of our trip to Iceland. It was very refreshing after a long day of exploring to go to the GeoSea Baths. We did the Custom Itinerary with Iceland Travel Guide and were very happy that it included the GeoSea because otherwise we would neve have visited this great place. I can recommend both the custom itinerary and the GeoSea baths for When in Iceland
